About

Yadadri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple atop Yadagiri Hill was completely rebuilt by the Telangana government between 2016 and 2021 at a cost of ₹1,800 crore. The ancient hilltop shrine — where Lord Narasimha (Vishnu's man-lion avatar) is believed to have appeared to the sage Yadava Rishi — was reconstructed in the Kalyani Chalukya Dravidian style, with over 2,500 artisans from across India working for 4 years.

The rebuilt complex features a towering 13-storey rajagopuram, five mandapas, a large golden vimana over the sanctum sanctorum, and a circumambulatory path lined with Chettinad granite columns and white marble panels. It has transformed into one of the grandest Vaishnava temples in South India, receiving over 1 lakh devotees on major festival days.
