About

Thiruvadhigai Veerattaneswarar Temple is one of the eight Ashta Veerattam temples where Shiva manifested to destroy Tripurasura. This site is historically significant as the place where the 7th-century Pallava monarch Mahendravarman I converted from Jainism to Shaivism under Saint Thirunavukkarasar (Appar).
