The Upper Cave Temple of Tiruchirappalli Rockfort (Lalitankura-Pallavesvara-griham) is a 7th-century rock-cut sanctuary built by Pallava King Mahendravarman I. It is renowned for its masterly Gangadhara panel portraying Shiva receiving the river Ganges in his matted locks.
