The Thirumayam Cave Temples are twin 7th-8th century rock-cut shrines carved into the boulder below Thirumayam Fort. One shrine is dedicated to Lord Shiva (Satyagiriswarar) and the other to Lord Vishnu (Sathyamurthi Perumal) featuring a colossal Anantasayana Vishnu carving.
