About

Sanwaliyaji Temple (Sanwaliya Seth) in Chittorgarh district, Rajasthan, is one of the most wealthy and visited Krishna temples in Rajasthan, drawing over 10 lakh pilgrims annually. The presiding deity is Sanwaliya Seth — a dark-complexioned form of Lord Krishna venerated as the ultimate merchant-god who grants wealth and prosperity.

The modern white marble temple complex is on a grand scale, with spectacular marble-clad mandapas, ornate carved pillars, and halls that can accommodate thousands of devotees simultaneously. The temple trust is one of the wealthiest in Rajasthan, receiving crores of rupees in offerings annually. The Bhadrapada Mela (September) and Kartik Mela (October-November) draw enormous crowds from across Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. The temple is famous for its free meals programme serving thousands of pilgrims daily.
