About

Moti Dungri Ganesh Temple in Jaipur stands atop the Moti Dungri (Pearl Hill) and is one of the most visited Ganesh temples in Rajasthan, drawing thousands of devotees every Wednesday — considered especially auspicious for Ganesha worship. The original 18th-century shrine was significantly reconstructed with white marble in the 19th century by the Jaipur royal family.

The small but ornately decorated temple is nestled within the Moti Dungri palace complex, with the backdrop of a Scottish castle-like palace built by Maharaja Madho Singh I. The temple precinct features marble-floored courtyards, silver-decorated interiors, and stunning views of Jaipur city. The Ganesh Chaturthi festival here is one of the most celebrated in Rajasthan, with the temple lit up brilliantly over the 10-day festival.
