Mahendragiri Temples

Mahendragiri Temples sit near the peak of Mahendragiri mountain (1,501 meters), the second highest peak in Odisha. Associated with the Ramayana and Mahabharata epics, the hilltop features three ancient stone Shiva temples named after Pandavas (Kunti, Yudhisthira, and Bhima). The Bhima temple, built with massive unmortared stone blocks, is considered one of the earliest surviving stone structural temples in Eastern India.
