About

ISKCON Krishna Balaram Mandir in Vrindavan was inaugurated in 1975 as the first major ISKCON temple in India, established by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. Built from pure white Makrana marble, the temple features three adjacent shrines housing Radha-Shyamasundara, Krishna-Balarama, and Gaura-Nitai. The three interconnected white marble shikharas are an iconic feature of the Vrindavan skyline.

The complex receives over 10,000 pilgrims daily from across the world and houses Srila Prabhupada's samadhi (memorial shrine), a guesthouse, library, museum, and restaurant. The marble carvings — lotus ceilings, carved pillars, painted altar domes — are of exceptional quality. It is considered one of the finest examples of 20th-century Vaishnava temple architecture in India.
