About

Dulhadev (or Duladeo) Temple, situated along the Khodar River in Khajuraho's Southern Group, is recognized as the last and most sophisticated temple constructed during the glorious Chandela era (c. 1100–1150 CE). Dedicated to Shiva as the 'Holy Bridegroom', this saptaratha temple features an octagonal mandapa with twenty celestial surasundaris carved in bracket positions, and rhythmic exterior tiers depicting flying vidyadharas and sacred icons.
