About

Chhatarpur Mandir (Shri Adya Katyayani Shaktipeeth Mandir) in South Delhi is the second largest temple complex in India after Akshardham Delhi, spread over more than 70 acres. Founded in 1974 by Sant Nagpal Baba, it is dedicated to Goddess Katyayani — the sixth form of Durga — with Chandi, Shiva, Ganesha, Rama, and Hanuman also enshrined within the sprawling complex.

The complex features numerous temples in South Indian Dravidian and North Indian Nagara styles, several constructed from white marble. The main Katyayani Devi temple features a large marble shikhar. During Navratri, over 7 lakh devotees visit across the nine days, making it one of Delhi's most significant festival venues. The complex also includes a large bhandara (free community kitchen) that serves tens of thousands of meals daily.
