Buguda Narayani Temple

Biranchi Narayan Temple Buguda is a celebrated ancient Sun temple in Ganjam district. Built in the 18th century over earlier foundations, it is famous for its intricate wooden carvings depicting scenes from the Ramayana and Mahabharata, and its unique wooden chariot-shaped architectural construction facing West so that the setting sun rays fall upon the Sun God's feet.
