About
Birla Mandir, Pilani on the campus of BITS Pilani (Birla Institute of Technology and Science) in Jhunjhunu district, Rajasthan, was built in 1957 by the Birla family. It is one of the smaller but historically significant Birla temples, located within one of India's most prestigious engineering campuses founded by G.D. Birla.
The white marble temple is dedicated to Lakshminarayan and is a beloved landmark for generations of BITS Pilani students. The serene campus setting — with the temple reflecting in the adjoining tank at dusk — makes it one of the most picturesque small temples in Rajasthan. The Birla Saraswati Devi temple on the same campus is also notable.
