About
Birla Mandir (Sarveshwar Mahadev), Kurukshetra is a white marble temple built by the Birla Foundation near the sacred Brahma Sarovar tank in Kurukshetra — the land where the Mahabharata war was fought and where Lord Krishna delivered the Bhagavad Gita. The temple is dedicated to Sarveshwar (Shiva) and Lakshminarayan.
The marble complex is set within the broader Brahma Sarovar complex, one of India's largest sacred tanks. Kurukshetra is a major pilgrimage site during solar eclipses, when millions of pilgrims take a holy dip at the Sarovar. The Birla Mandir provides a serene marble temple amid this ancient landscape.
