About
BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir, Gondal in Rajkot district, Gujarat, is an important heritage BAPS mandir established in the early 20th century (1934) in the former princely state of Gondal. The mandir is built in the traditional Gujarati stone and marble style with carved shikharas and an ornate sabha mandap.
Gondal was historically an enlightened princely state known for progressive administration; the local ruler Bhagwatsinhji was a great supporter of Swaminarayan institutions. The mandir complex includes dharamshalas, cultural exhibition halls, and gardens. It serves as an important regional pilgrimage centre for BAPS devotees across Saurashtra.
